Camila Silvestre was born in Medellin, Colombia, and in 2001 her family moved to Canada. At first, it was a big adjustment moving to a new country where they did not know anyone. Everything was different; the language, the climate, the culture, but slowly they were able to adapt to their new home. They didn’t have any extended family here, so they met many other Hispanic families that were in a similar position as them. These families started to come together as friends, and over time became like one large family. Moving to a new country has many challenges, but it can be easier to overcome these challenges when you have people to support you.<p>Camila learned from this experience the value of making meaningful connections with others. In all her endeavours, she strives to make a positive impact on her relationships. While at the University of Waterloo, Camila was part of the Varsity Cheerleading Team and worked as an RA, Residence Assistance. After graduation, she started working at a transportation company in processes optimization. At her work, Camila organized different teams to participate in charity events, such as the ‘Ride for Heart’ at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the volleyball tournament benefiting SickKids Foundation.</p><p>She soon realized that Real Estate would be a perfect career to build relationships and help clients in very important and impactful decisions in their life. As a Hamilton Real Estate Agent, Camila provides exceptional guidance throughout the buying and selling process. As she is fluent in Spanish, she can guide her Spanish-speaking clients through the whole real estate process. En 2001, su familia emigro a Canadá, al principio fue un gran cambio estar en un país nuevo donde no conocían a nadie. Todo era muy diferente, el idioma, el clima, la cultura, pero poco a poco fueron adaptándose a su nuevo país. En Canadá no tenían más familia y a través de los años conocieron varias familias hispanas que estaban en una posición similar a la de ellos. Con estas familias se empezaron a estrechar las relaciones y hoy en día se han convertido en una gran familia. Ser Inmigrante no es nada fácil, son muchos los retos para superar, y realmente tener un amigo que brinde apoyo en el proceso ayuda mucho.</p><p>Con toda esta experiencia Camila ha aprendido el valor de las relaciones. Ella se esfuerza para tener un impacto positivo en sus relaciones. Durante su tiempo en la Universidad de Waterloo, Camila formó parte del equipo de porrista y trabajó en la residencias ayudando los nuevos estudiantes. Después de graduarse, comenzó a trabajar en optimización de procesos en una empresa de transporte. Además de trabajar, Camila estaba interesada en organizar varios equipos para participar en eventos de caridad, participaron en “Ride for Heart” para la Fundación de Heart and Stoke. También organizó y lideró un equipo de voleibol que jugó en beneficio de la Fundación de SickKids.</p><p>Camila pronto se dio cuenta de que trabajar en Bienes Raíces, como agente de real estate, sería una carrera perfecta donde podría construir relaciones y ayudar a sus clientes en una decisión muy importante e impactante en sus vidas.
