2026 is holding its ground — and that’s a positive signal as we move through August.
This week, 2,922 appointments were booked, up 0.5% from the previous week and virtually even with the same period last year. We also saw 266 properties sold, producing an Appointment/Sold Index of 11.0.
What stands out is the recent momentum. At this point in August, appointment activity declined week-over-week in both 2024 (-0.9%) and 2025 (-2.6%). This year, we’re moving in the opposite direction with a 0.5% increase.
Looking further back, the comparable historical data also gives us reason for cautious optimism. In 5 of the past 8 years (62.5%), appointment activity increased in the following week.
What could come next? If 2026 continues to hold its current momentum and follows the more common historical pattern, we could see appointment activity push back toward — or above — 3,000 appointments next week.
For RE/MAX EN agents, the message is encouraging: buyer activity is holding steady, momentum is moving in the right direction, and the second half of August still has room to build.
