Burlington City councillors have just approved the plans to renovate and convert the old Robert Bateman High School located at 5151 New St, into a new, modern community centre. The work is to include extensive interior renovations, upgrades to operational systems as well as external redesigns including a new main entrance.  The renovated facility will become a new community hub in Burlington, and will include a public library, accommodations for various City-operated activities and initiatives, as well as recreational space such as a large gymnasium and a pool. Construction is expected to begin later this year!
