Our tour of Hamilton takes us to our rich aunts and uncles in Ancaster long thought of as the affluent neighbor to Hamilton since before amalgamation.
Bordering on the West Mountain and Glanbrook on the Niagara Escarpment, the town of Ancaster is one of the oldest European communities established in Ontario (according to Wikipedia).
Present day Ancaster is a mix of new subdivisions and big box malls blending in with well established century homes, rural, farm and estate properties. Ancaster maintains some of the highest average home prices in Hamilton-Burlington.
